The SARSCOVIDB database was developed and manually cured by Brazilian researchers, who are specialists in microbial infection, molecular biology and proteomics. SARSCOVIDB is an online platform aiming to gather all differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified after SARS-CoV-2 infection. The data deposited here was mining from published articles found in scientific repositories such as PubMed, Web of Science and Science Direct. The database includes information from viral strains, hosts, methodologies used, genes/proteins with altered expression (Up or Down regulated). The data can be searched considering different criteria, such as experimental condition, host cell lineage, tissues, fluids, SARS-CoV-2 strains or geographic origin target molecules, among others. The SARSCOVIDB content is not limited to global expression data including also individual expression measurements generated in methodologies search as real time PCR, western blot, ELISA among others. Our intent is to update the database at least monthly providing an accurate and up-to date resource to study the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection and its associated disease, COVID-19.
